Sound Experience is a Wrocław-based showroom, installation company, and sound system operator founded by Michał Macewicz and Igor Matus. The project was created by combining their experience in the club scene, music event production, and professional audio system design.
The idea came from Michał Macewicz’s many years as a DJ, sound system designer, and acoustics specialist. The company began operating around 2022, and the breakthrough moment came with the opening of his own showroom at Tęczowa Street in Wrocław in April 2024.
The new space was created as a place where one can not only see professional audio systems, but above all, experience them. The creators describe it as a hub for technology, education, and sound culture.
What does Sound Experience do?
Professional audio system design and installation, sound reinforcement for festivals, concerts, and cultural events, sound system rental, pro audio equipment servicing, educational activities, and audio technology presentations.
The company works with L-Acoustics and NNNN Audio systems, among others, and has completed projects for clubs, restaurants, cultural institutions, and festivals throughout Poland. Sound Experience stands out for not operating solely as a technical company. The showroom on Tęczowa Street has become a meeting place for the music community, sound engineers, DJs, and experimental artists.
Since its opening, it has hosted workshops and audio system presentations, reference listening sessions, events related to electronic music, art installations combining sound, light, and architecture.
One of the most interesting projects was the Reflections exhibition, prepared in collaboration with Zieta Studio, which utilized the immersive L-ISA system to experiment with spatial sound and visual art.
Currently Sound Experience is responsible for sound reinforcement for some of the most important music events in Poland, including the Avant Art and Garbicz festivals, and also implements installations in new clubs and cultural spaces. In recent years, the company has also co-created audio systems for new club and catering facilities.
