Modlińska 6D – Warsaw, Poland
SEKTOR 6D is a new large-scale electronic music venue in Warsaw, opened in September 2026 inside the post-industrial complex at Modlińska 6D. Located north of the city centre, close to the industrial and commercial landscape of Żerań, the venue represents a noticeably different direction from the smaller clubs that have defined much of Warsaw’s electronic music culture in recent years.
Rather than building its identity around intimacy, SEKTOR 6D has been conceived for scale. The project describes itself as Warsaw’s largest indoor music venue, with an emphasis on powerful sound, extensive visual production and enough space to accommodate international event concepts that previously required arenas, temporary halls or other large event facilities. Its first months already reveal the ambition: Sub Focus, Charlotte de Witte, Verknipt, Mathame, CamelPhat, Holy Priest, Boiler Room, Duke Dumont, elrow, Nico Moreno and Sara Landry all appear in the opening season.
Modlińska 6D
The address partly explains the name. SEKTOR 6D is located at Modlińska 6D, within the large Global Expo complex in the industrial northern part of Warsaw. This is far removed from the dense nightlife geography around the Vistula, Praga or the central clubs of Śródmieście.
That separation works in the venue’s favour. Large electronic events require space, substantial technical infrastructure and the ability to operate at sound levels that are increasingly difficult to accommodate within residential neighbourhoods. SEKTOR 6D instead adopts the logic familiar from warehouse and industrial venues elsewhere in Europe: move away from the centre and make the destination itself part of the event.
The atmosphere follows this setting. The architecture is large, functional and industrial rather than decorative, leaving substantial freedom for promoters to transform the hall through lighting, screens, lasers and temporary scenography. SEKTOR 6D is consequently less a club with one fixed visual identity than a platform capable of changing substantially from one event to another.
The Team and the Events Before SEKTOR 6D
The new venue is closely connected with EXIST, a Polish electronic music event brand that had already been organising large techno events before SEKTOR 6D opened. EXIST developed a particularly strong position around contemporary high-energy techno, bringing international artists to Warsaw and building events around large production rather than the conventional small-club format.
One of the recurring artists in this history has been Holy Priest. Before the opening of SEKTOR 6D, he had already played two sold-out Warsaw shows under the EXIST banner, including a collaboration between EXIST and the international hard-techno platform Teletech. His third EXIST appearance was subsequently announced for the new venue, demonstrating the continuity between the promoter’s earlier events and the programme being developed at Modlińska.
The same circle also created surround, described by its organisers as EXIST’s alter ego. Where EXIST focuses on energy and harder contemporary club music, surround moves towards melodic techno, atmospheric electronic music and longer, more immersive musical narratives. Before SEKTOR 6D, surround had already brought elrow’s Hallucinarium concept to Warsaw for New Year’s Eve 2025 at COS Torwar, with Catz ‘n Dogz, Ilario Alicante, Kasia, Lulu Malina, AAT and Toni Varga.
The distinction between the two brands helps explain the unusually broad opening calendar of SEKTOR 6D. EXIST can programme hard and peak-time techno, while surround can move towards melodic house and techno, and the venue itself can independently accommodate drum & bass, house or external international concepts.
SEKTOR 6D therefore did not appear without an existing audience. It effectively provides a permanent large-scale environment for a network of promoters that had already been testing demand for this type of electronic music event around Warsaw.
Grand Opening
SEKTOR 6D officially opened on 11 September 2026 with a night devoted primarily to drum & bass. The choice was significant: rather than inaugurating the venue with the techno sound most obviously associated with large industrial spaces, the organisers opened with one of the strongest international drum & bass line-ups Warsaw had seen in a single indoor event.
Sub Focus headlined the opening, joined by Hybrid Minds, Nero, Grafix and Lens. Polish representation included Shandrill, Detoxic b2b N O I under the Breaky Vibes banner and Ginglas b2b Buhhaj from the 175BPM environment.
The opening immediately established two principles. First, SEKTOR 6D would not be restricted to techno. Second, the scale of the venue was intended to support line-ups closer to festival programming than the conventional model of one international headliner accompanied by several local DJs.
Drum & bass was particularly effective as an introduction because it demonstrated the physical qualities the venue is trying to emphasise: large-scale sound, bass pressure, visual production and a crowd-oriented rather than intimate listening experience.
First Season
Only two weeks after the opening, the musical direction shifts dramatically. On 25 September, EXIST brings Charlotte de Witte to SEKTOR 6D alongside Chris Liebing, Danté, Inox Traxx, Sept and Umut Sefiloğlu. The booking places an internationally dominant techno artist together with established and newer names, including significant Polish representation.
October expands the concept further. Dutch hard-techno brand Verknipt arrives on 9 October with Fantasm, Karah, Katy Rough, Lieks, Negitiv and Vufreya. The following night changes atmosphere completely: surround hosts Mathame, 8Kays, Christian Löffler and KAS:ST, moving towards melodic and cinematic electronic music.
A week later, CamelPhat headlines another surround event with Korolova, Eelke Kleijn, Angelo Mike, Blossom Up and Weikum. Holy Priest follows on 24 October with Luca Agnelli, elMefti, Color K!d, Stara and WRK.
The first season becomes even broader in November. Boiler Room takes over the venue on 7 November, while Duke Dumont brings a large-scale house show one week later. On 27 November, elrow returns to Warsaw, this time moving from Torwar into SEKTOR 6D with the elaborate scenography and theatrical production for which the Spanish brand is known.
December continues with the Polish edition of the BURN Energy Tour, headlined by Nico Moreno, followed by an EXIST night with Sara Landry on 12 December.
Within only a few months, the same hall will therefore have moved through drum & bass, jungle, hard techno, hypnotic and peak-time techno, melodic techno, house and large international branded events.
A Different Kind of Warsaw Club
SEKTOR 6D is difficult to compare directly with Warsaw institutions such as Jasna 1 or Smolna. Those clubs are built around recurring communities, relatively compact rooms, residents and a recognisable weekly rhythm. SEKTOR 6D operates closer to the intersection between a nightclub, warehouse and concert venue.
This distinction is important. Warsaw has no shortage of electronic music culture, but large international productions have often needed to move between Torwar, Expo XXI, Praga warehouses, Progresja and temporary event locations. A permanent venue explicitly designed around large electronic events can potentially fill the space between a traditional nightclub and an arena.
The first programme suggests that this is precisely the intention. SEKTOR 6D is not attempting to become another small underground techno club. Its bookings are deliberately large and internationally recognisable, while individual promoters are given enough production space to create substantially different environments inside the same building.
That approach also explains the importance of visuals. At SEKTOR 6D, screens, lighting architecture, lasers and stage production are not additions to an otherwise fixed club interior. They are part of the mechanism through which the space changes identity from one weekend to another. A Verknipt event can therefore look radically different from elrow, Boiler Room or a melodic surround production even though all occupy the same physical venue.
Present
SEKTOR 6D is still too new to know what kind of institution it will eventually become. At the time of writing, only its opening event has taken place, while most of its ambitious first-season programme still lies ahead. Any assessment of its long-term importance to Warsaw nightlife would therefore be premature.
What is already clear is the scale of the intention behind it.
The team surrounding EXIST and surround spent previous years developing large electronic events and relationships with international brands and artists. SEKTOR 6D gives that activity a dedicated physical base. The opening with Sub Focus and Hybrid Minds immediately avoided defining the venue solely through techno, while the subsequent calendar moves from Charlotte de Witte and Verknipt to Mathame, CamelPhat, Boiler Room, Duke Dumont, elrow and Sara Landry.
The result feels less like the arrival of another Warsaw nightclub and more like an attempt to create permanent infrastructure for the city’s increasingly large electronic music audience.
Its industrial location, large interior and production-oriented philosophy place SEKTOR 6D closer to the contemporary European warehouse-event model than to Warsaw’s traditional club landscape. Whether it eventually develops its own community and identity beyond individual headline events will become clearer over the coming seasons.
For now, SEKTOR 6D is at the beginning of that process: a new industrial address on the northern edge of Warsaw, an unusually ambitious opening calendar, and a large empty volume waiting to be defined by the events that take place inside it.
