The latest "Freak" is a 6-voice synthesizer with built-in DSP and an advanced modulation matrix that can produce amazing sounds that differ significantly in character.
The synthesizer was developed based on the design of the modular Plaits solution by Mutable Instruments – the creator of these solutions makes his projects available as open source projects. The oscillator in Mini Freak has many synthesis modes including Karplus Strong, Superwave and Virtual Analog. unlike Microfreak, Minifreak has a classic 37-key keyboard with aftertouch, MiniFreak's dual digital sound engines offer more than 20 modes and can be used individually, simultaneously or process each other's outputs to produce a unique complex sound. Its 6 digital voices go to polyphonic analog filters, balancing digital sharpness, analog warmth and saturation.
MiniFreak's extended modulation matrix gives users even more control over the shape, transformation and evolution of sound, thanks to features such as polyphonic ADSR envelopes, customizable multi-segment LFOs, FM and ring modulation, and the well-known and appreciated Spice & Dice randomization.
With stereo outputs and three digital FX slots with 10 effect types to choose from, users will have everything they need to get the most out of the sound while keeping it ready for mixing, from stereo chorus to surgical 3-band EQ and sharp distortion.
MiniFreak V MiniFreak comes with a dedicated virtual counterpart as an audio plug-in, allowing users to completely integrate its unique hybrid character and presets into DAW productions and vice versa. Using identical sound engines and architecture, the plugin offers great flexibility.
