Cari Cari consists of Louise Yamamoto (vocals, drums) and Alexander Koeck (vocals, guitar).
After their single "Summer Sun" conquered alternative radio stations, the group won the hearts of journalists and the public thanks to the aesthetics compared to the soundtracks of Quentin Tarantino films and excellent concerts.
In 2018, the prestigious Rolling Stone magazine called them the greatest discovery of the Primavera Sound festival and since then the group has been touring intensively, as evidenced by performances at large European festivals (the aforementioned Primavera Sound in Barcelona, German Melt! or Hungarian Sziget) or headliner tours in Australia and Great Britain.
Musically, Cari Cari continue what they started on their debut EP "Ammeripindunkler" from 2014: not paying attention to genre boundaries, they efficiently combine film aesthetics with light, indie rock sound and modern production efforts.
