Visión Real is a Venezuelan rapCore band based in Maracay/Aragua State. Today we were talking with Arnaldo lead vocalist, who tells us how the experience and the journey of the band has been.
Astrid: Since when have you been playing together as a band?
Arnaldo: Visión Real is a Venezuelan band, from the city of Maracay specifically, begins its musical career from 2011 which is still active today, we have toured several states of the country and shared stages with excellent brothers of both national and international bands.
Astrid: Are they the same members from the beginning?
Arnaldo: No. As a band and as a sound we have gone through several musical evolutions, we had the honor of creating our sound and first years with Alberto Amado (drums), Alí Sánchez (guitar) and Juan Luis Figueroa (bass). Later years, approximately from 2014 we continued the work on stage with new musicians such as: Rodolfo García (Guitar), Armando Durán (Drums) with them we recorded our first album called “Simplemente Rapcore”. We continue, already with an album recorded and with many dates touring Venezuela, we are joined by new musicians which are Ezlein Ramos (drums), Junior Paredes (2nd. Guitar) which was also part of the sister band “Coprophagist Satisfaction”. In the years 2018-2019 we have the new drummer of “El Chino” member of the Valencia band “Segundo del final” (SxDxF). Currently we continue the chamba, but with a new sound, integrating an additional voice, which is the Rapper Norraiz (Isaac Manotas) giving the toke “Rap Hardcore”. The following are the new musicians that make up our current lineup: Samuel vivas (drums) who is also part of the Caracas band Delito HxC, Miguel Major (guitar) former member of “Nocturnal Hollow”, Albert Pérez (bass) former member of the band: Feedback Punk “.
Astrid: What is the message you want to convey with your lyrics?
Arnaldo: Our lyrical structure is focused on several realities of our street environment, both Latino and worldwide, which is the constant police abuse, corruption and abuse of power.
Astrid: What genre defines you as a band?
Arnaldo: Our genre is “Rapcore”. Although we have chords that go towards the Death Metal trend, we also build our sound under influences and Scratches of rap, combined with Hardcore.
Astrid: What is the objective of One Blood Venezuela and what mission does Real Vision fulfill within the Crew?
Arnaldo: One Blood Venezuela, was born in 2020 by the union between several bands and artists from Caracas and Maracay. This union is given as a need to organize events aimed at the Hardcore and Rapcore scene of the country. Visión Real is responsible for the dissemination and creation of content on social networks, aimed at the gangs involved in the Crew, as well as events, fanzine, productions, etc.
Astrid: What other jobs do you have outside the band?
Arnaldo díaz (Main voice): Music Producer of the “Otro beta festival”, producer of events associated with One Blood Venezuela, La Liga del Rapcore, Navirrap and soon Navirrap-core, also responsible for the nascent @AraguaProSkate that seeks to integrate and support both the skateboarding schools of the state and anyone who develops in this sport.
Norraiz (2nd Voice/backing vocals) : I am currently dedicated to the creative process of my next albums, as well as the audiovisual concept with which I want to express them.
Albert Pérez (Bass / backing vocals): Apart from being a bass player and belonging to the band, I am also a systems engineer, a profession that I currently practice.
Miguel Major (guitar) : I have been dedicating myself to graphic design for several years, a job which has allowed me to participate in important collaborations. And currently knowing the world of audiovisual producers.
Jesus barrios “chongo” (Dj) : Automotive and diesel mechanic, I work especially with restoration of classic cars.
Samuel vivas (Drums): as I said in the last interview with my brothers of crime HxC, today I consider myself a person with two trades, which are: music and cooking.
Astrid: What was the band’s first audiovisual material and how long ago did it premiere?
Arnaldo: Our video was directed by Super Ocho Films, a Maracayera audiovisual production company, with whom we were in the creative process of the song “Put your hands up” during 2016.
Astrid: How many collaborations have you done and with which artists?
Arnaldo: throughout our musical career we have had many live collaborations of excellent bands nationwide, some like: Kenny Mix of the band CXS, Rodnie Perret of Epitafio, Huáscar Rodriguez of Delito, the rapper Norraiz, our brother UKI graffiti artist and legendary tattoo artist from Caracas, internationally we share stages and themes with the partners Mackandal and Berserk of the Colombian band Scum Crew and future collaborations that have been working.
Astrid: Do your members also belong to other bands? Which?
Arnaldo: Yes, we have the participation of brother Samuel Vivas who is the current drummer of the Caracas band Delito HxC, and in our 2nd Voice the Rapper of Maracay Norraiz.
Astrid: What is the main objective of each of its members for the band?
Arnaldo: Real Vision: as a band we consider ourselves with the general objective of making the music we like, with lyrics that have allowed us to represent nationally, with the aim of remaining active and making our voices, experiences, codes heard throughout Latin America and the world.
