Today we are with ‘Via Libre’. For me it is an honor to carry out this interview since on a personal level for me he is a master of painting, whoever knew him surely learned some technique from him. I hope you enjoy it!

Astrid: What artistic work have you developed throughout your life?

Free way: Graffitis, murals, scenographies for theater and TV, painted cycloramas, works in schools, sculptures with recycled and reused material, performance costumes, bodypaint, among others.
And now Tattoo.

Astrid: What branch of art do you identify with the most?

Free way: With graffiti and mural.

Astrid: When was the first time you painted?

Via libre: It was as a child, first on the asphalt with stones, then at school I made a small mural and followed in the street.

Astrid: Have you participated in events, exhibitions, forums, nationwide? Tell us about that and what artistic work you participated with.

Free way: Yes, national and international. For me it is important and I highlight the work in communities.

Astrid: Are you an independent artist or do you develop within a crew or collective?

Free way: Independent, I spent some years in a hip hop group called ‘Familia Negra’.

Astrid: What personal message do you try to project when you express yourself artistically?

Free way: Human social decadence and generate ideas in each one accompanied by positive actions. The many realities.

Astrid: How did you come to focus on doing few activities and not as many as at the beginning?

Free way: I am still in many activities but resized.

Astrid: What social impact do you think your work as an artist can have?

Free way: In positive from the look in the mirror of realities of each one.

Astrid: Between digital and manual tools, which is more comfortable for you?

Free way: None, because patience, time, effort, perseverance, etc. are needed.

Astrid: Would you do this for the rest of your life?

Free way: With boots on until the end. Energy is not destroyed.
