Different Sides Of The Sun is the debut album by Hot Natured, consisting of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Luca C and Ali Love. The gentlemen filled their first disc with fifteen songs in the house / electronic style. The title of the album will certainly remind some of Dark Side Of The Moon, but did the artists manage to compose a work that could be put on a par with the cult classic?
The text layer of the pieces is quite simple and you can not find any deeper message in them. This does not mean, however, that the vocal parts do not blend well into dance sounds. On the contrary, they do it quite well. Listening to “Isis” you can feel as if it is actually in Egypt and flying on the carpet among the pyramids shooting up. It was definitely a good idea for Hot Natured to invite California-based singer Anabel Englund to collaborate. He perfectly fills with his singing “Reverse Skydiving”, “Mercury Rising” and the closing composition “Emerald City”. Listening to the songs, you can easily catch that Hot Natured is a group that feels very good in the rhythms of classic house and knows how to extract the best from it.
To sum up, Different Sides Of The Sun is a collection of interesting and well-mixed compositions that could easily replace the mainstream “hits” worn out by time and consoles on the dance floors of clubs. Music composed by four artists will surely captivate the most fastidious person to dance.
