Draaimolen Festival is back in 2024 with its trendsetter line-up, visual arts programme and unique atmosphere. The Tilburg-based event will take place on 6-7th September in the MOB Complex – a former military space, which is surrounded by stunning nature, and which became the venue for one of the most exciting festivals in the Netherlands.
The event is all about taking on new challenges, facing risks, giving the space to artists to experiment and pushing the boundaries. Just take a look at what the 2024’s line up is serving and join the festival you’ve never experienced before.
If you check the Dutch electronic music festivals map, you’ll surely find a lot of amazing and unique places to spend time at. Every region has its own list of events for ravers, but if you get a bit overwhelmed with the big cities’ hustle and bustle, feel free to turn your head into North Brabant’s Tilburg.
Surrounded by stunning forests, Draaimolen underlines the relationship between electronic and acoustic music, art and nature. Since 2012, the promoter has been organizing multiple indoor and outdoor events every year, giving both young talents and established artists the space to experiment. By pursuing exciting collaborations and elevating new, original projects, Draaimolen sets the bar quite high, but – at the same time – keeps its position of the music festival trendsetter at the fullest. The event creates unique occasions for everyone, from the organizer’s team to attendees, to experience the passion driven by electronic music.
Across 6 stages, Draaimolen invites artists to curate a unique programme that perfectly accompanies the environment of the stage – whether that’s a 5000 capacity pit, a beautiful twinkling forest rave or a sand-drenched stage with chapels gracing either side. Each of these stages then have a visual artist to create bespoke installations, such as strobe lights, nature-inspired visuals or heat-mapping, changing with the flow of dancers coming in and out of the stages.
Each year, checking the Draaimolen’s line-up is the best moment of the festival season announcements. Speaking about setting the trends, creating unique occasions for artists to express and really pushing the boundaries of genres & influences, the Tilburg-based event really knows how to mix it all in a unique way. 6 stages with different settings and the programme curated by top names in the electronic music industry. In 2024 the stages are taken over by artists such as Blawan & Pariah, KI/KI, Eris Drew & Octo Octa and Nouse’Klaer Audio.
Just take a look at the 2024 programme and feel the Draaimolen’s magic. The promoter’s promise is “the best festival experience possible and showing how life can be different if we all revolve around passion” – and all you can experience in Tilburg is, actually, true.
